Alex discovered yoga in 2011 and embraced her passion for teaching in 2017. She comes from a dance background, having trained in classical ballet and figure skating growing up. This translates in class to a balance between alignment and the quality of transitions; the journey from asana to asana. Beyond improving overall muscle tone, strength, flexibility and agility, Alex believes that a regular Yoga practice can powerfully transform our attention and awareness, cultivating a deeper knowledge and understanding of self. Her classes often explore yoga asana as a form of meditation in motion and as a means for cultivating mindfulness. Alex believes in the transformative and restorative powers of the practise to unify and harmonise the mind, body and spirit for improved wellbeing in all aspects of our lives.
