Katy
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” – Rumi
After 16 years of competitive rigorous training in classical ballet and other forms of dance, Katy found yoga in 2013. Initially it was a practice intended to compliment her dancing, however it quickly became much more of an internal healing practice for her. Katy discontinued her dancing career and dedicated her time and energy to her yoga practice. Katy completed her 200-hour teacher training at The Yoga Life in 2016 and began teaching soon after. Through yoga, she continuously learns about self-acceptance, letting go of the need to “perfect” or “the best”, and how to create a deeper connection between mind and body. Katy is honoured to be a teacher – someone who students trust to have their bodies and yoga practice guided. She intends to inspire her students to delve deeper into themselves, developing a more integrated and holistic connection within themselves. Join Katy for a toasty, hot Bikram class during the week.
