Yogi Guide

Considerations to support you on your yoga journey:

Honor & Respect
We encourage the practice of loving kindness toward oneself, others
and our shared collective space.

Transportation and Parking
Parking is available on the street and in the Cape Quarter parkade. Please plan ample time to get to your class,  no late late students will be allowed into class. Uber and public transportation are readily available in the area.

Yoga space
We provide 2 yoga rooms for both heated and non-heated yoga. Please help us keep the yoga rooms quiet and tech-free. Our reception area is designed for relaxation, reflection and mingling.

Yogi threads
To get the most out of your practice wear clothing you can move, stretch and sweat in. We also sell a selection of yogi clothes for men and women.

Personal belongings
Please keep all personal belongings in the locker rooms rather than in the yoga space. We suggest you leave valuables at home or make use of our lockers. Our lockers work on a deposit system, please bring along R50 cash to secure your items while in class (we are not responsible for lost or stolen items). This money will be refunded on return of your locker key.

New Students
Cape Town residents who are new to YogaLife receive a free week of yoga. Our free beginner classes on Monday & Wednesday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 5pm are a great introduction to the practice. Please visit our schedule for class times and descriptions.

Showers
You are welcome to enjoy our shower facilities in the men’s and
women’s locker rooms. Shower towels are available for rent at the
front desk.

Time
Please arrive early to class and stay a few minutes longer than you ordinarily would for savasana (long resting pose). For your convenience, we are open 30 minutes before and after your practice. For the safety and security of our students, we lock our yoga studio doors during class and do not permit late arrivals.

Mats & towels
Bring a yoga mat and large towel, or rent or purchase one of ours. For hygiene purposes we do require you to use a towel if you use one of our rental mats.

Water
YogaLife is a glass free zone. Please bring your own water bottle to fill up using our filtered water system. We encourage hydration! Drink plenty of water before (and after) class.
